Up for sale is a very rare oversized Blancpain “Fifty Fathoms” Stainless Steel 48mm x 40.9mm Diver’s Wristwatch, c. 1975.
Case: Tonneau-shaped, stainless steel with beveled detail, measures 48mm x 40.9mm, features jumbo format, crown at 4 o’clock, secondary crown for 60-minute graduated bidirectional inner inclined revolving bezel with luminescent guide at 2 o’clock, and screw-down case-back.
Dial: Signed, original gradient smoke grey dial, with applied silvered baton hour markers with luminescent tips, red luminescent arrow hands, and aperture for the day of the week (indication in French) and date at 3 o’clock.
Band: Black band with stainless steel buckle.
Movement: Signed automatic movement, self-winding, no. 631456, T 25 MC with 17 jewels.
Condition: Preowned. In excellent vintage condition, recently detailed.
