Up For Sale is a Borel Fils & Cie Vintage 14k Yellow Gold & Enamel Pendant to Wristwatch Conversion c. 1880. Originally worn as a pendant, this watch has been modified to make threading it onto a wristwatch band possible. It can be used and worn either way.
Case:Â Signed, round, 14k yellow gold case no. 362585 measures 31mm, and back of watch case features a beautiful hand painted enamel scene in vivid color depicting a pleasure garden in lush detail, with trees and a curved bridge over a water feature in the foreground & an acropolis in the popular Hellenistic style common to 19th century neoclassicism visible in the background.
Dial: Signed, white enamel dial with black radial Roman numeral hour markers, black spade hands, and subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock.
Band:Â Watch comes with green strap.
Movement:Â Mechanical movement no. 278149.
Condition:Â In fair vintage condition. Some wear on the enamel around the outer edges of case back and bezel. Small, almost invisible hairline crack on enamel at center of dial. Sold ‘As Is’
